Contests at White Wall Review

G. Raymond Chang Prize for Creative Writing

Write Now!

Details:

White Wall Review participates annually in the Word on the Street book and magazine festival in Toronto, Ontario. Inspired by the festival’s celebration of reading and advocacy for literacy, the Write Now! contest challenges festival attendees to demonstrate their creativity and talent by participating in an “on-the-spot poetry writing contest.

Prize:

Publication in the upcoming issue of the White Wall Review as well as two complimentary copies of the issue in which the poem appears.

Submissions:

Submissions are accepted at the submission box at the White Wall Review booth at Word on the Street Festival in Toronto.

Contest Deadline:

By the closing of Word on the Street festival annually.

Postcard Story Contest

Details:

Can you write an engaging and creative story in 250 words or less? Ir you are up for the challenge, write it on the back of a postcard and submit it for consideration in the White Wall Review Postcard Story contest. Factors to be considered by the judges include innovation and economy in the content of the story. Submitters should not feel obliged to match the theme of the story to the postcard’s image.

Prize:

Winners will have their story published in the next issue of the White Wall Review and on our website. They will also receive two copies of the issue that features their work.

Submissions:

Please follow the submission guidelines printed in the back of this issue.

Contest Deadline:

By March 31st annually.
